Nutrition information for cooked quinoa
Place 1/4 cup raw quinoa in a fine-mesh strainer and rinse thoroughly under cold water for about 30 seconds.
Add the rinsed quinoa and 1/2 cup of water to a small saucepan.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
Turn the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the water is fully absorbed.
Remove the pan from the heat and let it sit (covered) for 5 minutes to steam.
Remove the lid and fluff with a fork.
