Nutrition information for Steamed Carrots
Wash and peel the carrots.
Cut them into slices, sticks, or small pieces so they cook evenly.
Place a steamer basket in a pot and add about an inch of water.
Bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
Add the carrots to the steamer basket and cover the pot with a lid.
Steam the carrots for about 5–10 minutes, or until they are tender when you poke them with a fork.
Remove from the heat and serve warm.
